If a Tree Falls in the Woods?

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it does it still make a sound? If this flower farming mom of three isnt updating social media is she still accomplishing things?

This year of the detail has brought a new found sense of contentment. A casual flow versus an eager rush to prove myself and my budding business. This absence of posting is simply from a place of contentment (and maybe a lack of sleep 😴 ). Quietly navigating a routine for my business in the start of year four; becoming a little more comfortable as I finish out my last year in my twenties; and the continuous hum of background projects that come with three babies and an old farmhouse.

So yes even in the absence of posting things are happily being accomplished! I’ve been tinkering away at what might be might be my favorite year in the flowers yet.

  1. My shed is now beginning to fill with the green growth of ranunculus and the very beginnings of seed starting has started!

  2. Payton and I spent a beautiful vacation in the Riviera Maya with a great group of friends. Small detail - I conquered my addiction to solid black one piece bathing suits and dappled in all colors and patterns and pieces and it felt fabulous (thanks Ginger for the urging).

  3. My days have instead been filled with taking True to Roots and Wings Forest School two days a week, Monster Truck Jam, playdates, and helping out with Adventureland at the PACC. Building a routine and a community while staying home with kids is one of the things that keeps me sane (ish.)

  4. Reading and puzzles have found their way back into my days since I have left room in my to do lists instead of filling them to the brim. A few of my favorites this year include “The Storm We Made,” “The Silent Patient,” and “It Ends with Us.”

  5. We have begun to clean up the fallen down barn on our property. Lots of work and even more respect for those who put it together. A pet sheep and my flock of chickens are helping clear the grass as well. Lack of snow has opened up a winter for more projects.

  6. Lakes Fit at 5 am has become a new favorite way to get in some me time before the kids wake up. Thanks Heather for the beautiful space and some good friends for making sure I make it there.

  7. The tulips we planted in the fall are still tucked under ground even with this unprecedented weather. I am so eager to share them with you this Spring! This strange freeze/thaw cycle has me a little nervous! I be sure to keep you up to date on the journey. I am anticipating them ready in May, perfect for graduation or any other Spring celebration!

  8. I have decided to put seed starting and dahlia classes on hold for the spring. Babies and house projects are instead filling my days. I will have my favorite resources linked in my website.

  9. I will have lots of dahlia tubers for sale in the farm stand come the end of April and May! They are my favorites to grow and I will have extra for you to try your hand at too. I have a dahlia growing resource on my website as well!

  10. Longer days mean Spring is quickly on its way. My Spring Checklist is now posted on the website as well. With this strange weather it is nice to have a few road sign to mark where we are in the change of things. The calendar is serving its normal tracking!

I hope this update finds you similarly content in life as winter come to its final stretch. Happy Hygge :)
