Taking A Little Time to Float.

This week’s goal is to take a little time to float - literally and figuratively. We have officially moved out of our house and are living in my dad’s house until we can move into the house we are purchasing. This doesn’t have a concrete time line. My first instinct is typically to batten up the hatches and make all efforts to tie us to all things definite. My initial urge is to ask all the questions and make all the moves so that I know when we will be out of this ocean of in between and find the shore of certainty in our next chapter. I feel as if I don’t have an anchor right now which is freeing - our home is packed and we are moved - but I don’t really have a paddle either.

What I do have is a current. I know that the current will take me to where I want to be, I just have to get comfortable knowing that I can’t speed it up or slow it down. Instead of spending all my time to an eye glass looking for the next shore, I am going to take a little time to just float. Take in the sea around and do the things I couldn’t do if I was busy paddling.

So this week you will find me reading a book in the flower fields, taking in a little one on one time with my toddler, heading to Tamarac’s Wild Wednesday’s, floating in the lake, and facetiming my sweet little twins who went to spend the week at Grandma’s for a little one on one time. I hope you find a little time to “float” this week too.
