Winter’s Call.
I’ve always been attracted to a life that follows the earth’s natural rhythms. A existence that stirs in the spring and quiets itself at winter’s call. A product of being raised in Minnesota you could say -an expressive landscape that wears its seasons on its sleeve. One can’t help but fall into sync with its natural cycle. A swing from the vigor of 16 hours of sun to the legged effects of a mer 8.5. To rest and to reserve is what my instincts are telling me to do and it would be arrogant to think I can fight this natural urge. So as the days become reflective of our low rising sun, I let actions and adventures become a little more slowed. Finding comfort in knowing this is part of nature’s role.
I’m a lover of all things Minnesota and all things podcast and all things random unless knowledge. So the “Curious Minnesota” podcast by the Star Tribune is right up my alley. If your looking for a few quick episodes to prepare you for your next Minnesota Trivia Night I encourage a listen!
True is proving to be a lover of the outdoors even in the winter time. His favorite thing is moving snow on the tractor with dad but he settles for sled rides with mom every once in a while. I had a busy lead up to Christmas delivering Holiday Centerpieces. In total I ended up making and delivering about sixty arrangements. I absolutely loved putting them together and hope to make it an annual thing. Thank you to everyone who purchase one. It was a treat you visit with you and surprise your loved ones. Christmas came with a lot of travel for us - something I dread more and more each winter. We made the long trek across North Dakota meeting ice and winter storms each way. But it was nice to spend some time with family. After a busy December I am excited to settle into a more reserved and cozy January. Wishing you all the same.
