Memories are Made in the Mundane.

I frequently find myself with a camera roll of flowers in full bloom but few pictures of the process it takes to get to those days. Every June I catch myself in a state of anxiousness thinking “Are these fields really going to fill up in time for all of our summer plans?” “Will we have enough flowers?” Being in the fields everyday gives me blinders to the incredible growth a little sunshine, water, and a seed can do.

I find this with my life and little ones too. What I think is stationary is busy moving onward without catching my eye.

So here is my reminder to myself to take some time to remember the best memories are made in the mundane.

The first apartment, the messy house filled with baby toys, my rusty suburban that carries everything I need. A sweet little cross-eyed boy covered in dirt and sunscreen. A belly full of kicks from four tiny feet. June flower fields filled with baby plants and weeds. These are the pictures I need.
